Currently, Microsoft lets developers apply for the Microsoft HoloLens Development Edition. Regarding the price of $3.000, it isn’t something every little programmer may be able to afford, but it could be worth for larger companies.
It’s a first step towards a lot of new applications, games, ideas and experiences. Following this link, you’ll find Microsofts application program to apply for their first development version of their highly anticipated augmented reality headset Microsoft HoloLens.
Not everyone will be accepted. Microsoft is looking for creative developers to help them building an “active, dynamic community” and to build a “holographic future” with them. The headsets will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2016, but only in the United States and Canada though. It is unknown if they will ship to other countries as well.
What do you think can we expect of developers working with the development edition of HoloLens in the next year?
